Glass Reflector Shades and Torchiere Shades were originally used on early 20th century electric light fixtures. The goal of these newly designed lamp shades was to maximize light output. Working on the principle of reflecting light, these open top shades, known as IES glass reflector shades and Torchiere lamp shades offer a superior luminous quality. Glass reflector shades were designed for both table and floor lamps. Large torchiere shades were used predominantly on floor lamps. Glass reflector shades are offered in different sizes.
