Japanned Door Locksare an authentic 19th century type used on early cupboard and wardrobe doors. Use on either right or left hand cabinet doors. Easy to install, these japanned surface locks mount directly to interior of doors. No mortising is necessary when mounting. Attach with wood screws. Lock-bolt is brass plated.
Japanned Door Locks are made of steel. Each has a historic black japanned-iron finish. Lock-bolt is brass plated. Strikes not included as not required. Made In England.
Keyhole location measurement is critical. Replacement lock-keyhole-location must match location of keyhole in furniture.
