Japanned Iron Door Lockswere commonly used on 19th century furniture. These hard working locks are made strictly for doors. Easy to install, surface locks mount directly to interior of doors, with no mortising required. Attach with wood screws. Strikes not included as not required. Made In England.
Classic black Japanned iron finish adds authentic flair to early cupboard and wardrobe doors. Locks are steel with a black japanned-iron finish. Lock-bolt is brass plated. It exits from either side of lock, enabling locks to work both left and right hand doors. This large size lock is suitable for big cabinet doors.
Keyhole location measurement is critical. Replacement lock-keyhole-location must match location of keyhole in furniture.
