Antique Keyhole Cover is a darkened brass with a vintage appearance. Ideal when used on on antique furniture. Oval shape fits nicely on cabinet doors. Surface mount to drawer or door front with two pins. Stamped brass with smooth embossed edge. Finish is antique. It is darkened to look old. The antique finish is hand applied and may vary from one to the next. This slight variations in color provides a natural and more authentic appearance.
Install - Surface Mount Escutcheon
- Locate best placement for keyhole on furniture front. Make sure keyhole is aligned correctly with key pin in lock. Be sure hole in key barrel is lined up correctly to comfortably go over pin in lock mechanism.
- Mark location of both attachment pins. Be sure they are level with each other.
- Drill small pilot hole at attachment pin locations.
- Hold keyhole cover in place. Press each pin in hole and then tap into place.
