Antique Sheraton Keyhole Covers have a distinctive rectangular shape with cut corners and an embossed raised center. This classic Federal style is frequently seen on Antique Sheraton chest of drawers. It is made of stamped brass. Finish is antique. It is darkened to look old. The antique finish is hand applied and may vary from one to the next. This slight variations in color provides a natural and more authentic appearance. Surface mount to front of drawer or cabinet doors.
Install - Surface Mount Escutcheon
- Locate best placement for keyhole on furniture front. Make sure keyhole is aligned correctly with key pin in lock. Be sure hole in key barrel is lined up correctly to comfortably go over pin in lock mechanism.
- Mark location of both attachment pins. Be sure they are level with each other.
- Drill small pilot hole at attachment pin locations.
- Hold keyhole cover in place. Press each pin in hole and then tap into place.
