Phenolic Husk Lamp Sockets are a popular style that was frequently used on lighting in the mid 20th century. Unique bottom turn knob design. This practical design can be used vertically or horizontally. Cord exits from bottom side of socket.

Additional socket information:
- 3/8" threaded stem, with bushing, projects from socket base.
- Unscrew bushing from stem, insert stem into mounting-hole then screw bushing back on stem. Tighten to secure.
- Use vertically or horizontally
- Outer husk is made of bakelite also know as phenolic, an early form of plastic, produced from a synthetic chemical resin.
- Socket interior fits inside the bakelite-phenolic husk. It has screw terminals for lamp wire
Before making any changes to electrical fixtures and/or lamps:
- Disconnect plug/wire from the electrical source.
