Floral Victorian Keyhole Covers have a horizontal shape to complement desks and chest of drawers. Originally they were used on furniture from both Victorian and golden oak periods.
Install - Surface Mount Escutcheon
- Locate best placement for keyhole on furniture front. Make sure keyhole is aligned correctly with key pin in lock. Be sure hole in key barrel is lined up correctly to comfortably go over pin in lock mechanism.
- Mark location of both attachment pins. Be sure they are level with each other.
- Drill small pilot hole at attachment pin locations.
- Hold keyhole cover in place. Press each pin in hole and then tap into place.
