Experience a great 19th century design, the Roll Top Desk lock. This unique style lock was originally the now famous "Roll Top Desk" popular during the Victorian and Golden Oak eras. This lock is an authentic reproduction. Use on desks with a lid that rolls up and down in a track. The desk lid is made of either solid wood or tambour, wooden slats glued to a canvas backing.

Roll top desk locks are mortised into base of roll-top lid, facing downward. Square strike, with spring loaded trap door, is mortised to sit flat in desk surface. When desk lid is rolled down, winged bolt drops down into strike to lock lid to writing surface. Keyhole escutcheon mounts on exterior of desk frame, outlining keyhole.
