Brass Lifting Handle is sturdy and substantial. This classic handle is used on chests, trunks, boxes and dressers. The style dates back to the 1800's where they are often seen on Campaign furniture and traveling trunks. Although historic the simple shape remains popular. Traditionally one is mounted on each side of chest, at a comfortable height to lift from.
This lifting handle is solid brass. Handle has a built in stop. Thus it can swing up to 90 degrees. If doing historic restorations, this handle is an authentic design. These handles are strong however we do-not suggest picking up heavy pieces with them. Brass is a naturally soft metal, therefore when moving furniture, we recommend lifting it from underneath.
