These standard sizes make it easy to join parts together. While seeming minor, these fittings are vital when restoring lamps.
First determine thread size when repairing lamps. All the parts you need for one lamp are most likely the same thread-size. Many lamps require all thread pipe, a lamp socket, lamp wire and various bushings or nuts. It is best to assemble lamp to make sure all parts go together as planned, before wiring.
