Antique Oil lamp shades are glass. They are seen on antique and vintage lamps . These glass lamp shades magnify the light output. When the lamp is lit, the globe lights up. The light colors produce a bright light. At the turn of the 19th century, this brighter light provided the ability to work and study at night. Hence their nickname Student Lamp Shades.

Banker's green is a traditional color. The fitter is 7 inches. Each is blown glass. This technique may cause slight variations in size and weight. 10" Student shades are also available.
