Shipping Policy

1. Order Cut-Off Time

  • Cut-Off: 1:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).
  • Orders placed after 1:00 PM ET or on weekends/holidays begin processing on the next business day.

2. Processing & Handling

  • Processing Time: Typically 1–7 business days (Monday–Friday), depending on product availability and order volume.
  • Out-of-Stock Items: We will notify you via email with the anticipated restock date. You may choose to wait, switch to a different item, or cancel the order.
  • Confirmation & Tracking: Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details.

3. Shipping Zones & Rates

A. Contiguous U.S. (48 States)

  • Free Ground Shipping on orders over $125
  • $8.95 Ground Shipping on orders under $125
  • Typical Transit Time: 1–9 business days after the order ships (excluding weekends/holidays).

B. Alaska, Hawaii, & Non-Contiguous U.S. States/Territories

  • Discounted Rates: Shipping costs are higher due to escalated carrier rates; however, we strive to provide discounted options:
    • $15.95 for orders under $45
    • $29.95 for orders $45–$85
    • $39.95 for orders $85–$124.99
    • $59.95 for orders $125 and up
  • Typical Transit Time: 2–16 business days after the order ships.

C. Expedited Shipping (Contiguous U.S.)

  • Available Services: UPS Next Day Air and UPS Second Day Air.
  • How to Request:
    1. Place your order online, including a note for expedited shipping in the “Comments” box.
    2. Confirm your email address is correct. Our team will send you a quote for expedited rates.
    3. We will provide a secure payment link for the additional shipping charge.
    4. Your order ships once payment is confirmed.

D. International Shipping is no longer available


4. Delivery

  • Transit Time does not include weekends, holidays, weather disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Carrier Discretion: Items may be left at the carrier’s discretion if no one is available to receive them.
  • Secure Delivery: If your location is not secure, please request a signature requirement or special handling when placing your order.

5. Returned Orders

  • For detailed return instructions, please consult our Return Policy.
  • Refused Deliveries: If you refuse delivery, you will be responsible for the original shipping charges and (if shipped via UPS) the cost of return shipping.
  • Incorrect Address: If an order is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, you are responsible for the original shipping fee and any additional fees to resend.

6. Damaged Shipments

  • We carefully package all orders, including fragile items.
  • If your order arrives damaged:
    1. Photograph damaged items outside of the packaging.
    2. Photograph the box exterior showing any visible damage.
    3. Photograph the interior packaging materials.
    4. Email pictures and order details to support@paxtonhardware.com.
  • Upon receiving the necessary documentation, we will expedite a replacement or otherwise resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

7. Additional Notes

  • Most orders ship from our Maryland warehouse.
  • Delivery times may be extended during peak seasons or due to carrier delays.
  • We only process and ship orders on business days (Monday–Friday), excluding major U.S. holidays.
