Brass Chest Lifts are authentically styled handles originally designed for lifting blanket chests, cedar chests and boxes. Handles are mounted on each side of chest at a comfortable height to lift from. Historically brass chest lifts were used to carry furniture. Although these handles are exact replicas, brass is a naturally soft metal therefore we recommend lifting furniture from underneath. A special built in stop keeps handles from lifting more than 90 degrees.

furniture lifting handles

good customer service - shipped quickly. product quality is good - no seams or pits on casting, stamped escutcheons are crisp. only negative is that the screws are too small - larger heads are more more historically accurate because screws on handles that were meant to bear weight were heftier.
