Antique Brass Surface Catches are a favorite style commonly used on kitchen cabinets, cupboards, dry sinks, pie safes and other antique furniture. Spring loaded release knob is engaged to fasten cabinet door securely. Use on both right and left hand doors.

This Victorian cabinet door catch is solid brass with a decorative design. It has a spring loaded mechanism and solid brass knob. Darkened finish highlights the decorative embossed design.
Install Surface Mount Catch
- For left and right hand doors - Surface mount
- Determine placement of catch, typically placed slightly above mid-height of door
- Catch mounts to cabinet door, strike to door stile. When mounting, catch and strike should each be set back 1/16" from respective edges. Result is 1/8" between the two pieces.
- Mark and drill pilot holes
- Mount surface catch
