Brass H Latches are used to secure interior shutters, cupboard and cabinet doors. This historic style complements many interiors. These H latches are beautifully made from brass extrusions. Each is polished and lacquered for a long lasting shine.
Install Colonial H Latches
- Use on right or left hand doors - Surface Mount
- Determine placement of catch: typically placed slightly above mid-height of door
- Swing-arm side of latch mounts to cabinet door, strike side of latch mounts to door stile.
- Mounting-width, distance between the two latch pieces, can be adjusted to suit application.
- Mark and drill pilot holes
- Mount H latch with four screws

James W. These brass latches replaced a wood toggle that kept the cabinet closed but wore off the finish and looked bad. Now the cabinet has been restored and these new latches make it look great!
