Natural Cane for Seat Weaving

Fine Chair Cane is a natural material ideal for weaving chair seats. It is designed for use on chairs and benches which have evenly spaced holes drilled around the seat's edge.

Stranded Chair Cane is sold by the hank. A hank is a bundle of long stranded lengths of cane. One hank is approximately 1000' of multiple long lengths. 16' of binding cane, to finish the outer edge of chair, is included with each hank of chair cane

Chair cane is made from the bark of a rattan palm vine that is carefully cut into long, thin strands.  These glossy strands are a pleasing, durable weaving material. They age beautifully from a light blonde to a rich caramel shade over time. It can be stained however the glossy finish prohibits stain from easily penetrating the material, a couple coats may be necessary with proper dry time in between.

Cane is a durable material. Keeping cane free of dust and dirt will help extend the life of the cane. If necessary it can be cleaned with a lightly damp cloth, be sure to allow to adequately dry after cleaning. Do-not use too much water when cleaning cane as it can cause the material to sag.
