Antique Claw Feet, small

Small Antique Claw Feet are a style popularized by Duncan Phyfe, a prominent cabinet maker in the early 19th century. They are sized to fit small tables with curved legs.  These animal foot caps slip over the flat base of the furniture foot, securely enclosing the front, sides, and top to provide both protection and a refined finish.

Antique Claw Feet

All measurements are interior dimensions:

• Height: 7/8"
• Top Width: 15/16"
• Bottom Width: 1"
• Bottom Length: 1-1/4"

These claw feet are stamped brass with sharp, crisp detail. A darkened finish has been applied highlighting characteristics of an animal paw. The slight malleability of stamped brass allows these feet to be slightly maneuvered for a more precise fit on furniture legs.

Install Duncan Phyfe style Feet

• Claw foot should fit down snugly, onto furniture foot.
• If foot-size differs from claw foot, it may be necessary to reshape furniture foot. 
• Test fit, once foot is correctly shaped.
• If minor adjustments are still needed, carefully bend brass a slight amount to conform to furniture foot.
• Once fit is correct, attach with 2 mounting pins.

If restoring furniture: legs may need alteration to accommodate claw feet.
