Drop leaf table supports hold drop side table leaves in place and will not release when jarred. Finger pull release, returns table leaf to downward position. Use on antique tables, tea carts, microwave carts, antique typing tables or any furniture piece with a drop down side.
Many factors affect strength of table leaf supports. Overall size of leaf, strength of table-apron, force exerted on table leaf when extended, strength of leaf and apron material, length of screws and distance between hinge and leaf edge all contribute to strength of table leaf support.
Drop Leaf Table Supports are a simple to use method of supporting narrow table leaves in an extended flat position. Rigid support is provided for raised leaves, preventing leaf from closing until spring-tension is released.

K.B. I wanted supports for some big over head cabinet doors that opened up. I got the idea to use drop leaf table supports from my antique drop leaf table. These work great, are very affordable, and were shopped out and received very quickly. I now have to order 2 more, as I added 1 more door to my project! If I had done it all together I would have got free shipping! my bad.

Emmy H. I ordered this to fix a broken table support on an old drop leaf table I bought. It worked beautifully and was easy to install. Now I can use that side of the table. It was also a very inexpensive fix. I just wish it came in bronze color to match the other supports.
