Material & Finish

Antique Brass Lamp Socket
This socket has a solid brass socket shell with a darkened, antique finish. It outperforms plated or gilt alternatives by eliminating finish deterioration. While the coloration on non-solid brass sockets tend to wear off revealing the base metal underneath, solid brass sockets with a antique finish remain more stable and resist corrosion. This darkened brass is ideal on antique and vintage lamps as it both harmonizes and enriches your fixture's visual appearance. In addition, the brass construction typically has sturdier threads, providing better reliability.
