Adjustable Magnetic Catch

This catch is made of cast zinc and steel. It has an attractive brass-plated finish that complements brass knobs and hinges. The strong, compact magnet holds up to 2 pounds, which is sufficient to secure most cabinet doors. 

Install Catch

• Mount at top or bottom on interior of door, opposite hinge side.
• Use vertically or horizontally
• Position catch making sure the distance from the back (non-magnet) side of the catch to the closed cabinet door surface (where the strike will mount) is not less than 11/16” or more than 7/8”.  If possible, mount the catch in the middle of this range to allow for more adjustment.
• With the magnetic catch in the proper position, make sure its long side is parallel to
  the closed door or face frame of the cabinet. Mark the position of the screw holes,
  drill 1/16” pilot holes, and install the screws.
• Position the strike plate so that it is centered with the magnet. Mark the position of
  the screw hole, drill 1/16” pilot hole, and install the screw. 
• Test the operation and adjust the magnet as needed by turning it. Maximum holding force occurs when it firmly touches the strike. You may lock the magnet in place by tightening the set screw on top of the catch. Use a 1.5-mm hex key (Allen wrench). Locking is generally not required but it does ensure that the magnet cannot move over time.
• The o-ring on the magnet is only to assist in turning it. When the magnet is in
  position, the o-ring may be removed and discarded.
