Mica Lamp Shades are a craftsman style favored during the arts and crafts movement. This mission style complements vintage and new lighting. When illuminated, mica produces a warm soft ambient light. The translucent appearance and mineral flecks glow when lit.
Amber mica lamp shades are a hex shape. They are made on a copper-brown metal frame that is rust resistant. Frame is wrapped with sheet mica comprised of mica flakes laminated together with shellac or resin. Once assembled dark brown taped binding accents top bottom and individual sections
A small 1/2" ring fitter is at center top of a harp lamp shade frame. This ring sits on post at top of harp and is secured by a lamp finial.
