Replacement Lamp Harp

• Assembled height is the distance between lowest point of winged base to top of harp right below threaded finial post.
• 8" Assembled Height
• Bottom wing piece slips 1/8 IP, 3/8" lamp pipe
• Threaded top post: holds 1/4-27 lamp finial

Lamp Harp

A harp is a two part assembly comprised of:

• A top: an upside down U-shaped metal support with a small threaded post at center top
• A base: a notched upright wing shape piece with a 3/8" diameter center hole.

To Install

• Slide wing shaped base down over central lamp pipe with arms upright. The base typically mounts above vase cap and lamp-neck just below the lamp socket.
• Add top to base, by sliding sleeve on each leg piece up, squeeze support legs slightly together so that each can be fitted into the notched channel on either side of the wing shaped base. Slip sleeves down over notched channel locking the parts together.

Changing the Harp on an Existing Lamp

• To achieve the best proportions and enhance the overall appearance of the lamp it may be necessary to change the harp height as replacement shades are rarely the exact size of the previous shade.
• For the most part this is a simple process. Simply raise sleeves squeeze support legs slightly together to release from base. A different size can then be added.
• Occasionally an old lamp will not have removable sleeves. If this is the case, the entire two part harp must be replaced.
