Description

Brass Lifting Handle is sturdy and substantial. This classic handle is used on chests, trunks, boxes and dressers. Trunk hardware of this style dates back to the 1800's where it was often seen on Campaign furniture and traveling trunks. Although historic the simple shape remains popular. While engineered for durability, we recommend supporting heavy furniture from beneath rather than relying solely on the handle for weight-bearing.

Material & Finish

These lifting handles are solid brass with a built in stop. Thus the handle can swing up, to 90 degrees. Finish is polished. It is not lacquered and will age over time. The are substantial and sturdy, however we do-not suggest picking up heavy pieces with them. Brass is naturally a somewhat soft metal, therefore when moving recommend lifting heavy furniture from underneath when moving it.

Mount handle at a comfortable height to lift from.
Use one on each end of a chest or trunk.
Surface Mount
Determine mounting location
Mark then drill pilot holes at screw locations
Attach brass chest lift with four wood screws
