David H. I needed a catch to hold a drop front desk table lid in the closed position. This is a desk that has been in my family since new, it is over 70 years old. The desk top sits at a 90 degree angle to the floor when closed. The original ball detent type catches were worn beyond reuse. These ball detent catches were the perfect choice to hold it upright, yet release easily when opening the desk. I was very happy to find this solution, and at a very affordable cost. Well made, and a vintage look complement the vintage piece.
