Cabinet Door Turns were originally used on cupboards in the late 18th century. This is a Dutch Colonial design. Traditional stirrup handle is bow shaped. Rotate stirrup handle to engage door turn finger mechanism, in back of door. Easily adjusts to fit most door thickness.
Cabinet door turns are sturdy. Each is brass. Stirrup handle is cast, backplate is stamped. Finish is polished. It is not lacquered and will age over time. Dutch Drop Pulls are brass, stirrup-like handle is cast-brass. *Handle has a slight pitted appearance*. Rosette back-plate is stamped-brass. Mounts from a single hole.
Solid brass, precision design, strong hardware, classic look
I was refurbishing an old oak dry sink and needed door turns from the period. I was not able to find them until I came across Paxton Hardware. They have a lot of other items of interest also. Great company.
