Install information on 7" lamp shades

  • Use this shade style with a shade ring, tripod or spider for support.
  • The support portion of the shade-holder should correspond to the shade's fitter size.
  • Shade-fitter size is the outside diameter of the lampshade base. It is typically slightly less than 7" and often varies from shade to shade as shades are created by hand.
  • This 7" size is commonly seen on 8" - 9" height lamp bases.

Description

Green Cased Glass Student Shades are essential for authentic restorations. Originally these shades were used by universities and banks on desk lamps. The white interior reflects light downward which made them ideal for reading. A satisfying green glow is outwardly produced when shade is lit.
Material & Finish

This 7-inch lamp shade exemplifies traditional cased glass craftsmanship, featuring two fused layers of molten glass in complementary green and white colors. A distinctive visual depth is created through this dual-layer construction. Each shade is hand-blown by experienced artisans using time-honored techniques. As with authentic handcrafted glass, minor surface variations and slight dimensional fluctuations are inherent characteristics that reflect the artisanal production method. The glossy finish enhances the glass's luminous quality. For matching shades, order together to ensure consistent appearance.
