Install

Install: Front mount

  • Pull mounts with 4 pyramid head screws
  • Mount directly to door front.
  • Care is required when installing screws.
  • The best practice is to first drill a pilot hole. Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the overall width of the screw, including threads, to drill the hole.
  • Then use a steel screw, the same size as square head screw, to “cut threads” in pilot hole, by screwing steel screw into and then out of hole.
  • Optional, rub a small amount of beeswax or lubricating oil onto the screw threads, particularly if you're screwing into dense hardwoods.
  • Carefully use either a 4-point (square) socket or a standard adjustable wrench. It is best to wrap screw head so that finish is not marred by socket or wrench.
