  • These hinge supports are intentionally made to not-open-flat when held in your hand.
  • Once installed, the weight of the desk lid adds leverage to the hinge support. This enables the desk- lid to hang properly and not sag.
  • Support should be mortised into bottom of desk interior and writing surfaces. Has a 180 degree throw once installed.

Description

These Brass-plated Support Hinges are essential for opening and holding desk lids in the open flat position. This is a vintage style copied from those historically made. They are suitable for use on both straight front and slant front desks, enabling the lid to drop down and provide a flat writing surface.
Material & Finish

These combination hinge supports are heavy duty steel. Secure linkage, countersunk screw holes. Surface is brass plated with a natural finish.
