Half Mortise Box Lock

• Backset- Distance To Pin: 1" this measurement is critical if replacing a lock as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
• Lock Plate: 2-5/8" wide x 1-9/16" high
• Selvedge: 2-5/8" x 1/2"
• Lock Body Thickness: less than 1/2"
• Key Size: Barrel: 3/16" D x 1-1/2", 2-3/16" Overall Length, Key-bit Height: 1/2"

Finding an exact match for an old lock is not always possible, as only a limited amount of sizes are now made.

Keyhole Covers

• Keyhole-covers not-included as furniture style dictates keyhole-cover design
• Insert Escutcheon#0242, #0237 or #0253 can be used with this lock

Install Considerations

• Install this half mortise lock into a partial cut out on furniture interior. In closed position, lock is not seen.
• Strike attaches underneath surface of lid.
• If replacing an old lock: measure distance between top edge of lock to lock pin in center of keyhole. This measurement is known as the backset.
