Medium Brass Claw Feet add interest to curved furniture legs. Frequently used on tables, this classic design was much-used by Duncan Phyfe during the Federal era. This style was then revived again in the early 20th century.
Our brass claw feet are stamped brass with sharp crisp detail. The finish is polished. It is not lacquered and will darken over time. Stamped brass claw feet offer the advantage of being slightly flexible to conform to furniture legs.
All measurements should be considered when replacing claw feet.
If restoring furniture: legs may need alteration to accommodate claw feet.
If replacing claw feet: Measure carefully. These medium size brass claw feet, while copied from antique originals, fit many but not all furniture legs.
Claw foot must be relatively close in size to furniture foot. Claw foot fits down onto curved furniture leg. A snug fit is required. If necessary brass can be slightly-bent to confirm to leg. For a proper fit, it may be necessary to slightly rework foot. Once in place attach with 2 mounting pins.
