Small Insert Escutcheons for Keyholes

Small Insert Escutcheons are appropriately size for jewelry boxes, cubby hole doors, and miniature furniture.  They simply define the outline of keyhole and protect keyhole edge from wear. 

Small Insert Escutcheons

• Width: 5/16"
• Height: 5/8" 
• Depth: 1/8"
• Key-bit Height must be less than:1/2"

These small inserts are brass. Finish is polished but not lacquered.

Install Insert Escutcheon

• Determine location for Keyhole placement
• Precisely trace the exterior outline of escutcheon onto wood surface with a sharp pencil.
• Remove keyhole interior using a drill and files
• Test fit, ideally should be snug but not tight.
• Refine cutout with sandpaper if necessary
• Fit into place, epoxy can be used to secure keyhole if necessary.
