Large Half Mortise Box Lock

• Backset-Distance To Pin: 1-1/4" (31 mm) this measurement is critical if replacing a lock as keyhole in lock and furniture must line up together.
• Lock Plate: 3-1/2" wide x 2-3/16" high (89 mm x 58 mm))
• Selvedge: 3-1/2" x 9/16"
• Lock Body Thickness: less than 9/16"
• Keyhole-covers not-included as furniture style dictates keyhole-cover design
• Key Barrel: 3/16" x 2"
• Key-bit Height: 9/16"

This large, heavy duty lock is crafted with durability in mind. It is expertly constructed with a brass face plate and strike. The lock body and locking mechanism is steel.  Lock box is riveted to the faceplate. Made in England.

Install Considerations

• Install this half mortise lock into a partial cut out on furniture interior. In closed position, lock is not seen.
• Strike attaches underneath surface of lid.
• If replacing an old lock: measure distance between top edge of lock to lock pin in center of keyhole. This measurement is known as the backset.
