Old Style Brass Casters are an early style from the mid 1800's. This type was primarily used on table and chair legs.
These are reproduction old style brass casters. Each is solid brass crafted from substantial castings. Finish is polished, it is not lacquered and will age over time. Old style brass casters are defined by the short and thick stem. Caster swivels at swivel-joint between fork and leg plate.
Load Capacity, caster strength and stability is directly related to correct installation. If a caster is incorrectly installed it will-not be strong or serviceable.
If furniture has missing or damaged casters: Replace all casters to insure uniform height, style and appearance.
Worked perfectly, easy to install and matched the original
Identical replacements for casters that were on a table build I believe in the late 1800"s . Only difference is these are nice shiny brass. Fit perfectly!
These fit my antique table perfectly and looked great. I didn't even have to drill new holes on the legs to use the provided screws with the casters. I would use these casters and Paxton Hardware again.
I purchased these casters, but haven't installed them yet. They seem to be a good brass caster. Along the way I had some fit/size questions and received a quick reply on my inquiries, which was very much appreciated. Five stars for good customer service, which is not as common as it once was. I will do business with Paxton again.
These hard to find casters were perfect for my Morris chair.
