Pale Blue Student Shade is a pleasing neutral option for antique and vintage lamps. Melon shape accentuates the pale blue color. Use on glass, nickel and brass lamps. These glass melon lamp shades were originally used in America, on oil lamps, during the mid to late 19th century.

These pale-blue oil lamp shades have a decorative melon shape with ruffled top. Satin white brightens to a pale blue mist around shade bottom. Skilled craftsmen hand-blow each shade. Due to the nature of any hand-blown glass, slight imperfections may occur. This glass is both beautiful and luminous. Made in America

• Shade-fitter is the bottom edge diameter of lampshade. This measurement is typically slightly less than 10".
  
• Shade-fitter sits in shade ring, tripod or spider for support. 
• Opening in shade-holder, where shade sits, will be the fitter size. 
• 10" fitter lampshades proportionally fit: 9" - 10-1/2" lamp bases.  Occasionally they are seen on taller lamps.
• Lampshades are blown glass. Glass blowing techniques can cause slight differences in glass-thickness.  These differences can affect bottom diameter and weight of lampshade.
