Description

Pale Blue Lamp Shades is a pleasing neutral option for antique and vintage lamps. This melon shape lampshade, is an antique style, originally used in America, on oil lamps, during the mid to late 19th century. Satin white brightens to a pale blue mist around shade bottom provides a soft light. Made in America
Material & Finish

These glass lamp shades are made in the traditional manner that was used by American manufacturers from the 1800s into the 1900s. They are handblown in a melon shaped mold by skilled craftsmen. In this historic process two lampshades are blown together as one unit. The center of this unit is then cut in half thereby creating 2 individual shades. Cutting them apart creates a slightly rough base, this is not a flaw. As this process uses authentic glass blowing techniques the glass may exhibit minor imperfections representative of old glass.
