Description

Pale Pink Lampshades are a peaceful color ideal on antique lamp bases with pink highlights and on clear glass, brass and nickel lighting.  These vintage glass oil lamp shades are a melon shape with ruffled top. Glass has a satin finish. Peachy-pink coloring at top of shade fades to a satin white. When lit, these glass oil lamp shades admit an appealing soft pink color. Made in America.
Material & Finish

These glass lamp shades are made in the traditional manner that was used by American manufacturers from the 1800s into the 1900s. They are handblown in a melon shaped mold by skilled craftsmen. In this historic process two lampshades are blown together as one unit. The center of this unit is then cut in half thereby creating 2 individual shades. Cutting them apart creates a slightly rough base, this is not a flaw. As this process uses authentic glass blowing techniques the glass may exhibit minor imperfections representative of old glass.
