Install information on 10" lamp shades

  • Use this shade style with a shade ring, tripod or spider for support.
  • The support portion of the shade-holder should correspond to the shade's fitter size.
  • Shade-fitter size is the outside diameter of the lampshade base. It is typically slightly less than 10" and often varies from shade to shade as shades are created by hand.
  • This 10" size is commonly seen on 9" - 10-1/2" height lamp bases.

Description

Red Rib Cased Glass Lamp Shades are a striking ruby color with a glossy finish. Use when restoring antique and reproduction hurricane lamps. Shade has ribbed shape with a flat top.  This ribbed style is often used as replacements for Rayo, Rochester, glass and brass hurricane lamps.
Material & Finish

This 10-inch lamp shade exemplifies traditional cased glass craftsmanship, featuring two fused layers of molten glass in complementary red and white colors. A distinctive visual depth is created through this dual-layer construction. Each shade is hand-blown by experienced artisans using time-honored techniques. As with authentic handcrafted glass, minor surface variations and slight dimensional fluctuations are inherent characteristics that reflect the artisanal production method. The glossy finish enhances the glass's luminous quality. For matching shades, order together to ensure consistent appearance.
