Description

Satin-White Lamp Shade emits a subtle and pleasing light when lit.  The soft glow is very welcoming on a dark evening. Milk glass interior directs light downward for reading and task lighting. Embossed melon shape and satin white coloring combine, providing a distinctive appearance. Use on antique and vintage lamps. This glass lamp shade is both beautiful and noteworthy. Made in America.
Material & Finish

These glass lamp shades are made in the traditional manner that was used by American manufacturers from the 1800s into the 1900s. They are handblown in a melon shaped mold by skilled craftsmen. In this historic process two lampshades are blown together as one unit. The center of this unit is then cut in half thereby creating 2 individual shades. Cutting them apart creates a slightly rough base, this is not a flaw. As this process uses authentic glass blowing techniques the glass may exhibit minor imperfections representative of old glass.

This shade is a beautiful satin white. Glass-thickness can slightly vary, mildly affecting size and weight of lampshade. If needing a pair please order together to assure match. It is uniquely American made.
