Lamp Shade for Large Table Lamps and Reflector Floor Lamps

  • To use this style, the lamp must have a harp shade holder or a glass reflector to support shade. A Harp is a upside down U-shaped metal support with a small threaded post at top. A glass reflector shade has a large open top.
  • Lamp shades of this type have a washer-like ring fitter in top center of shade with a 7/16" diameter hole and
    V-notches in 3 arm frame at top of shade.
  • The shade sit on the lamp in one of two ways.
  • The washer like fitter in top of shade slips over the threaded post on top of harp. It is then secured by a lamp finial that screws down onto treaded post.
  • Or, the shade sits on a reflector shade. The v-notches in the top of the shade frame go on either side of shade wall to hold shade in place.

  • Harp: Center ring in top of shade-frame sits on top Lamp-Harp. It is then secured with a finial.
Material & Finish

Our Parchment Lampshades are expertly crafted and very difficult to make. Each requires skillful craftsmanship, attention to detail and many hours of hand-work to create. The process starts by stabilizing the parchment paper with hard white buckram. This is a coarse linen lining that provides added strength to each lampshade panel. The tedious work is then attaching the parchment to a hand-crafted, rust resistant metal frame. Once shade is assembled gold binding is applied by hand, accenting the individual patterns displayed on each panel. Made in America.

This shade is made on a metal frame that has a tripod like spider in of shade. The tripod arms have v-notches to be used with a reflector shade or it can be used with a harp as it also has a 1/2" ring in the center top of shade to fit onto a harp shade holder.
