Melon Oil Lamp Shade is a beautiful soft champagne-cream color with a satin finish. This unique color and finish provides a pleasing velvety light. White milk glass interior directs light downward for reading and task lighting.

This glass lamp shade has an embossed, melon shape with ruffled top. The shape and color add a quiet distinction to vintage and antique lamps. 

This satin white glass melon lamp shade was originally used in America, on oil lamps, during the mid to late 19th century. They are produced in the traditional manner, of being blown in a mold. Made in the USA.

• Shade-fitter is the bottom edge diameter of lampshade. This measurement is typically slightly less than 10".
  
• Shade-fitter sits in shade ring, tripod or spider for support. 
• Opening in shade-holder, where shade sits, will be the fitter size.
• 10" fitter lampshades proportionally fit: 9" - 10-1/2" lamp bases.  Occasionally they are seen on taller lamps.
• Lampshades are blown glass. Glass blowing techniques can cause slight differences in glass-thickness.  These differences can affect bottom diameter and weight of lampshade.
