Tilt Top Table Catches

Tilt Top Table Catches enable table-tops to be used in two positions: flat and upright. This 18th century design was one of the earlies space saving mechanisms used on furniture.  When not in use, the tea table top was positioned upright, table was then easily moved to an out of the way corner. Easy to use, providing a smooth transition when adjusting table-top between level and vertical positions. Spring loaded mechanism with a thumb knob release securely fastens table top when flat.

• Space between holes: 1-3/8"
• Strike Width: 7/16" 
• Strike Length: 1-1/8"

These table catches are solid brass. They are well made, The latch mechanism is spring loaded. Finish is polished, it is not lacquered and will patina over time.

Install Brass Table Latch

• Surface mount catch to underside of table tops.
• Strike mounts to table pivot block or pedestal, requiring slight mortising.
