Description

These White Glass Student Lamp Shades are designed to seamlessly blend with any interior. The classic and simple design features glossy milk glass that looks stunning whether the lamp is on or off. When illuminated, this shade emits a pleasant white light that is perfect for task and ambient lighting. They are great replacements for Rayo, Student and Rochester lamps, as they were often seen in rural America during the late 1800's.  Made in America, these shades are both beautiful and luminous.
Material & Finish

These glass lamp shades are made in the traditional manner that was used by American manufacturers from the 1800s into the 1900s. They are handblown in a melon shaped mold by skilled craftsmen. In this historic process two lampshades are blown together as one unit. The center of this unit is then cut in half thereby creating 2 individual shades. Cutting them apart creates a slightly rough base, this is not a flaw. As this process uses authentic glass blowing techniques the glass may exhibit minor imperfections representative of old glass.
