    • Medium Wide Extruded Brass Hinges offer a large attachment area for hinge plate. Hinges are free swinging and fully swaged for a snug fit. These are top quality hinges are heavier and stronger than standard cabinet hinges being made of extruded brass with a fixed pin and counter sunk holes. Made in England.

    Reproduced like the originals in solid brass with an unfinished surface. This natural brass provides great flexibility: it can be left to age naturally, be polished to a shiny lustrous finish, antiqued or installed and then finished at the same time the furniture is finished.

    Exceeded my expectations

    I have professionally repaired furniture for 36 years. Whenever possible, I like to physically handle replacement parts to be certain the size and quality are appropriate replacements. Locally, I found nothing was adequate, so I started searching on-line. Paxton Hardware had this hinge, with the same measurements I needed, but I wondered if it would just be like the thinner hinge I could find locally. The fact this is made in England gave me hope it was coming from a different source, so I took a chance and ordered.

    The package arrived quickly. I was amazed when I opened it and put them side by side against the existing hinges. The size was spot on. The leaves on the new hinges are slightly thicker and the hinge pins truly great machine work with no wobble like the old one had. When I am done darkening and finishing these, the customer will be elated and I know they will hold up for the next century of use.

    The big surprise was the hinges came with screws! Straight slot flat head solid brass. This was a complete package. Whenever I need hardware, I will check with Paxton Hardware. They are good people. They know hardware. This is the first time I have dealt with Paxton Hardware and I received no remuneration for this review.
