Harp Lamp Shades are the most used type for table lamps. Simple ring washer in center top of harp lamp shade rests atop lamp harp (shade holder) and is secured with a lamp finial. The styles, sizes and color ranges of these replacement lamp shades are endless. Materials include parchment, silk, linen and mica. Round and hex shapes predominate however ovals and squares are also used. When selecting size, the goal is to achieve a sense of balance between lamp shade and base. If the replacement lamp shade appears proportionally correct yet it is sitting to high or to low on the lamp, simply change to a taller or shorter harp.
