Adjustable Lampshade Extension, 2-1/2 - 6 inches

The overall look of a lamp is determined by the balance between the lamp-base and lamp-shade. This Adjustable Lampshade Extension provides an easy solution for some lamps as it enables adjustable support for harp-type lamp shades. It can be added to most lamps without rewiring.

It is used on lamps that do-not have a harp typically above a socket cluster. It has a male base with a standard 1/8IP lamp thread that will screw into a standard 3/8" diameter - 1/8IP threaded opening.

Lampshade Extension

• Adjusts: 2-1/2" - 6"
• Top Plate: 1/4" diameter, supports shade
• Top Thread: 1/4-27 fits standard finial
• Base Threaded: 1/8 IP, standard 3/8" diameter lamp pipe

This lampshade extension is mostly unfinished brass.

Install Lamp Stem:

• Extension is often used on top a lamp-socket-cluster.
• Base of Lampshade Extension screws down into 3/8" diameter - 1/8 IP threaded opening.
• Adjust height by loosening thumb screw, slide stem, up or down, to best position, tighten thumb screw to secure.
• To provide maximum adjustment, the stem is tall. The bottom of the stem can be easily cut shorter with hacksaw if too long.
• Knurled threaded plate, near top, supports lampshade. It can be screwed up or down for additional height adjustment of lamp shade.
• Lamp finial screws down on top threaded rod to secure lamp shade.
