Antique Claw Feet are paw shaped caps used on curved table and sofa legs. They slide down from the top over the portion of foot that sits flat on the ground, enclosing both sides, front and top of furniture-foot. Originally this style was popularized by Duncan Phyfe, a prominent cabinet maker of the Federal period. They then experienced a resurgence during the Colonial Revival era.

These claw feet are stamped brass with sharp, crisp detail. A darkened finish has been applied highlighting characteristics of an animal paw. The slight malleability of stamped brass allows these feet to be slightly maneuvered for a more precise fit on furniture legs.
If restoring furniture: legs may need alteration to accommodate claw feet.
Absolutely perfect fit on my Duncan Phyfe table feet. They look classic and the burnished look coordinates well with the "distressed" table. LOVE THESE CLAW CAPS!
Large ordered and fit my duncan phyfe table perfectly! It gave my table a finished and classy look! I am so happy that I will order more for a small library table I have. These were also a very good price. Cheaper than Amazon
