Glass has a satin finish. Peachy-pink coloring at top of shade fades to a satin white. When lit, these glass oil lamp shades admit an appealing soft pink color. Made in America.

These glass lamp shades are made in the traditional manner that was used by American manufacturers from the 1800s into the 1900s. They are handblown in a melon shaped mold by skilled craftsmen. In this historic process two lampshades are blown together as one unit. The center of this unit is then cut in half thereby creating 2 individual shades. Cutting them apart creates a slightly rough base, this is not a flaw. As this process uses authentic glass blowing techniques the glass may exhibit minor imperfections representative of old glass. 

This shade has a pale pink coloring at top. It has a satin finish. It has undergone a secondary firing to permanently set the color. Glass-thickness can slightly vary, mildly affecting size and weight of lampshade. If needing a pair please order together to assure match. These shades are uniquely American made.
