Colonial Chippendale Keyhole Escutcheons are an elegant 1700's design. Use to cover keyhole cutouts on antique and vintage furniture. Use on chests of drawers with matching handles and on blanket chests that benefit from a plate type keyhole cover.

Material & Finish

These period style keyhole covers are authentically reproduced with accurate detail and appropriate weight. Each is solid brass with a shiny polished finish. They are not lacquered and will age over time.

Install

Install - Surface Mount Escutcheon

Locate best placement for keyhole on furniture front. Make sure keyhole is aligned correctly with key pin in lock. Be sure hole in key barrel is lined up correctly to comfortably go over pin in lock mechanism.
Mark location of both attachment pins. Be sure they are level with each other.
Drill small pilot hole at attachment pin locations.
Hold keyhole cover in place. Press each pin in hole and then tap into place.
