This Single Rayon Covered Fixture Wire is an essential tool for wiring narrow spaces on wall sconces, chandeliers, and lamp clusters. It's particularly useful in situations where conventional wire is too thick to fit, such as in the restoration of early gas lamps.

This lamp wire is well made. The stranded wire has a plastic insulation that is covered with a fine, tightly braided rayon fabric. It is made for low temperature, low wattage applications. It is not-intended for appliances. This thin fabric covered lamp wire is manufactured with strict safety standards however it is not UL approved. When wiring lamps it is best to use one strand of this fabric covered lamp wire and one strand of matching wire with tracer. This provides easy identification of wires.
Before making any changes to electrical fixtures and/or lamps:
- Disconnect plug/wire from the electrical source.
- Turning lamp off will not protect you from electric shock.
