Mogul lamp sockets are very large
They are considerably bigger than standard sockets. 3-way turn-knob switch, offers three ranges of light: 100, 200 and 300 watts. Use with Mogul Light Bulb. These sockets were originally used with incandescent bulbs however due to new government regulations these bulbs have now been replaced with updated, more energy efficient LED types. Large metal base screws onto ½"- ¼ IP lamp pipe. Made of glazed porcelain with a metal interior.
Before making any changes to electrical fixtures and/or lamps:
- Disconnect plug/wire from the electrical source.
- Turning lamp off will not protect you from electric shock.
- If you are unsure how to safely proceed contact a licensed electrician.

Well made replacement.Had to remove the metal “ y” shaped frame at the bottom and use the original from the old socket as the threaded hole diameter at the bottom was too small, this went well. Also used the old knob as the one on the new socket had a diameter that was too large. Otherwise an VERY satisfied.
That is unusual as this socket fits most vintage lamps perfectly without any adjustments. Glad you were able to make the socket work.
