Antique Oil lamp shades are glass. They are seen on antique and vintage lamps . These glass lamp shades magnify the light output. When the lamp is lit, the globe lights up. The light colors produce a bright light. At the turn of the 19th century, this brighter light provided the ability to work and study at night. Hence their nickname Student Lamp Shades.
A variety of colors, offer choices to match your interior. Hand painted designs feature roses. The shades with roses are favorite. While white shades are neutral and provide excellent light. Banker's green is a traditional color. The fitter is 7 inches. Each is blown glass. This technique may cause slight variations in size and weight. 10" Student shades are also available.
This 7" size is used on smaller oil lamps approximately 8" in height.
